edit:’nuff said.
From my review on the Whitechapel boards:
Ok, so I’ve been waiting for this for about 5 years, maybe more. Some have been waiting for it for longer. The series that was originally going to be 21 issues stopped at issue 20 back in 1998. Mr Schrab has finally decided to finish it off in a 4-part series, which started coming out last month.
The two issues out so far stick to the artistic style of the first set of comics, with stark black-and-white and lots of action sequences. The first comic is basically Drywall catching SCUD back up-to-speed and building momentum for the reader again. He’s tied in the story lines from The Drywall & Oswald show as well as Drywall Unzipped and some characters from Tales From the Vending Machine, but I haven’t seen anything yet from La Cosa Nostroid. (fangirl much?)
In short, it’s good at sticking to the original feel, and I’m excited to see how things end up. The extra art in each issue is also a bonus, I’d share some from scanning but I’m not sure how I feel about risking breaking the binding on my new babies.
Thank you for reminding me!
You have special panties just for geeking?
well, it’s the only time I wear panties…
Heelloooo.
I can so see you react like that whilst saying that Willow. 🙂
Nice… I think I’ll have to come up w/ something for appriopriate barter so I can reads them.
Oh, by the way. I’ve discovered I have 3 objects to return to you when I see you next.
Oh man I remember SCUD back in the day when I was in school. Very fun stuff. Good to see it come back and be finished properly. Perhaps they will publish the entire series in a “phonebook” soon?
