I seem to have locked my keys in my car for the first time in my life.
Anyone have any options I should try before resorting to hiring a locksmith? The only time I’ve been close to such a situation was when Corey locked the keys in Paloma and shattered the window trying to pry his way in. So I’m sort of shaky on trying such things when I don’t know what the hell I’m doing.

If you can get the window down even a tiny bit, your best bet is to try using a coat hanger.
Though if you have power windows, that’s not really an option.
I think the fellow who lives across the court from us is a locksmith. He drives a black Lock Hawk truck. You might see if you can find him today if you can’t get your keys out.

The last time I did that, my friend and I just found the sketchiest bar within walking distance, and pleaded for help, assuming someone there would have significantly better breaking-into-car skills than we. It worked. 🙂
A friend of dubious nature once gave me a hands-on lesson about it. If you can find thin, flexy sheet metal, and cut it into a hooked shape on the end, most cars can be picked by sliding that down between the window and weather stripping. If you need the metal, I have some that might work.
There’s some bar in there that runs between the handle and the lock that can be pulled on.

Find a friend who has AAA.
They don’t check the ownership of the car, plus, it can be used for any car the member is riding in.
