She’s So Geeky
My mom sold a circuit-board-print necklace to a woman going to She’s So Geeky.
I think this is awesome.

Stars!
I’m going to see Stars Friday November 2nd in Chicago. I will go up Friday afternoon and return Saturday evening or Sunday morning (depending on work). Anyone care to join?
all things Apparent
Zombie Prom is October 30th. I have Halloween parties the weekend before (starting Thursday) through ’til Wednesday evening. I had intended on being The Borg Queen for most of the parties, but I really don’t think I have time to pull it off. Sure, I have time to do the costume (hah, not really) but I certainly don’t have time to do all that make-up before each party. My other costume is still a go, but will only work actual Halloween night (as it involves other people). Arrrg. Teh Angst!
Went up to Indy last night with Chris and a new friend, Preston. He talks like Cary Grant and works in labs. It was a great time, I can’t recommend Mutiny enough.
But apparently when I drive, it’s like this:

I’m slightly ashamed (but also amused) that it’s pretty true. Heee.
organizing and beauty
Apologies for being so slow on communication lately. Trying to get everything organized, get over to a new e-mail address, sort through shit and just generalize Bring Order.
On another note, this is gorgeous (a la Chris):
Road Trip!
So this is the route I think I’ll be taking to Seattle
As of right now, I’m thinking about heading out mid January.
I’ll do the initial drive to Fayetteville in a day, stay two nights. Take two or three days to get to Los Gatos, stopping at National Parks and Pretty Places on my way. Rex and I are hanging out in Los Gatos, and then going to Yuba City. Figure I can take a few days going up the West Coast… spend 2 or 3 days in Portland before I make the last bit of drive up to Seattle. I think a week and a half will do it.
Will also be visiting Chicago for a weekend sometime between now and then – likely the first week of November.
If you want me to visit you, let me know!
It’s been a bit..
..since I read this. It’s nice to have the reminder.
“And you guys just ate it up. Kept buying shitty phones and broken media devices green and dripping with DRM. You broke the site, clogging up the pipe like retarded salmon, to read the latest announcements of the most trivial jerk-off products, completely ignoring the stories about technology actually making a difference to real human beings, because you wanted a new chromed robot turd to put in your pocket to impress your friends and make you forget for just a few minutes, blood coursing as you tremblingly cut through the blister pack, that your life is utterly void of any lasting purpose.”
I’m going to plot out my route to Seattle today. I think I can take a week and a half, go to Chicago and St. Louis and yes even Fayetteville. Up through California and through Portland.
Oh, and today… today the world can fuck itself! Yay!
evil plottings
So I know all this time I’ve been talking about getting a Vespa when I move to Seattle… but somehow the idea of getting a Standard instead has lodged itself in my brain and won’t leave.
This is bad. Someone convince me otherwise.
Assemblage 23 rides?
Going up to see A23 on Wednesday in Indy. Does anyone need a ride? I have 3 seats open right now.
I intend on leaving around 8p for the show, going to at least some of the after party at Mutiny, and heading back to Bloomington no later than 1:30a. I have class the next morning so I will be DD as well. Let me know.
Also, I miss Shoutfit.
